Kim Dunninger is an accomplished singer and teacher having taught choral and orchestral music, K thru college for 28 years in NH, OR, ND & CO. She holds a B.M. Education with distinction from the University of Maine and an M.M. in choral conducting from the University of Oregon where she conducted the Women’s Choir, studied conducting and sang with Helmut Rilling in the Oregon Bach Festival. Her choirs and orchestras consistently receive Superior ratings at contest. She has sung with many choirs including the Santa Fe Desert Chorale, The Robert Shaw Carnegie Hall Workshop choir, St. Martin's Chamber Choir, the Durango Women’s Choir & Choral Society and Varna Music Festival Choir in Europe. She currently sings with Kantorei in Denver. Prior to teaching at Rocky Top Middle School, Mrs. Dunninger taught in the Durango School District for 12 years. This is her seventh year at Rocky Top. Over the past 2 years the Honor Choir and 8th grade choir performed with the Choirs of America festival choir at Carnegie Hall, the Honor Choir was chosen to perform at the CMEA clinic and all the choirs performed at Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Rockies games. Mrs. Dunninger doesn't drink Starbucks but loves teaching the awesome kids at Rocky Top!
