This is Ms. Finnegan’s first year as the School Social Worker at Rocky Top Middle School, and she couldn't be more excited to be joining such an incredible team of educators!
She earned both her Bachelor and Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago, and earned her School Social Worker Certificate from Colorado State University. She worked in many different roles at various nonprofit organizations in Chicago before moving to the Denver area three years ago. Her professional experience includes work in school social work, in-home Applied Behavior Analysis behavior therapy, outpatient group therapy, social and life skills coaching, job-readiness and community independence training, domestic violence victim advocacy, girls' empowerment and sports coaching, and grant writing and program development. Last year, she was the School Social Worker at Vista View, where she worked with expelled students to assist them in building the tools needed to experience success and getting connected to helpful resources in the local community.
In her spare time, she likes to play guitar and ukulele, play board games, seek out adventure by explore new neighborhoods, and spend time with her family (including her dog, Buddy, and her cat, Zora!).
