High School Registration visits (current 8th grade students)

High school counselors will deliver registration information to Rocky Top 8th graders on this day.  All students will be given directions on how to submit their registration forms to each high school on February 22. Each high school is using an online registration process this year and all forms must be submitted by the high school’s deadline.

March

Elementary School Visits (INCOMING students in 5th grade)

Counselors visit feeder elementary schools to talk about the structure of middle school, discuss and describe classes and allow for a Q&A session. (This is when we answer the age old question "what if I'm late to class"). We will deliver information so that students and parents can make their music selection online. Parents may want to wait until after April 13, when they will hear from our music teachers firsthand.

  • Meridian Elementary: February 28
  • Prairie Hills Elementary: March 14
  • Eagleview Elementary: March 16
  • Silver Creek Elementary: March 17
  • Students from non-feeder elementary schools (virtual): March 30

*** Please note, due to the complexity of scheduling we do not accept teacher/core requests. Please contact our registrar, Leo with questions at 720-972-2202 or enr024907@adams12.org‚Äč.

Week of March 7th: In-House Registration (current 6th and 7th grade students)

April

April 13 @ 6 PM: Gearing Up to be a Grizzly (INCOMING students)

Family and student night for incoming 6th graders.

Families will get in depth information about RTMS on this night (ie: curriculum, scheduling, instrument rentals, timelines and much more!). We will also include a fun and festive tour of the school to give our youngest Grizzlies the chance to see inside RTMS!

Coffee & Conversation with Chelsea Behanna, RTMS Principal (INCOMING parents)

Not able to make it to Gearing Up to be a Grizzly or have more questions? No worries! Come join Rocky Top Middle School Principal, Chelsea Behanna, for virtual coffee & conversation about your child's upcoming transition to 6th grade. Bring your questions, worries and hopes to share as we discuss all the things to look forward to as you wrap up the year. Only 30 spots will be available per Coffee & Conversation session and we ask that you only sign up once.

Families who have a student on a formalized plan (IEP, 504, ALP, or ELD) will have separate times offered to them to help answer questions regarding these specific needs.
