SAC (School Accountability Committee
Please consider becoming an active voice in our school's future and join the School Accountability Committee (SAC). The SAC is a vital group that works directly with the principal to help guide important school decisions.
What is SAC?
The SAC is a committee of parents, teachers, and community members. It serves an advisory role and provides valuable input on key areas that directly impact our students and our school.
What does the SAC do?
The SAC's work is essential to our school's success. As a member, you would help with:
-
School Improvement Planning: You would provide recommendations for our school's Unified Improvement Plan (UIP), which outlines our academic goals and strategies.
-
Budgeting: You would offer input on how school funds are spent to ensure they align with our school's priorities and student needs.
-
Parent Engagement: You would help us find new ways to connect with families and encourage more parent involvement.
Who can join?
We need at least three parents, one teacher, and one community member on the committee. Your unique perspective is incredibly valuable, and we especially want to ensure that our SAC reflects the diversity of our student body.
If you are interested in serving on the SAC or would like to learn more, please email LaShauna Quarles by September 12th. We will have our first meeting on September 24th from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at RTMS. We would be thrilled to have you on our team as we work together to make our school the best it can be.
