Rocky Top student qualifies for horse race in Las Vegas
- Focus on Students
Addie Crump is a 7th Grader at Rocky Top Middle School. Since she was little she has always loved animals, especially her horses. Addie has been competing at barrel races all year, working hard to qualify for the KK Junior World Finals in Las Vegas. Addie's determination paid off when she qualified top 10 in points against girls her age from the other 50 states. She is eagerly waiting to compete the week of December 11th with her family cheering her on in the stands. Her horse she will be competing on is named Hershey. During this year, Addie has also won prize money and 5 belt buckles. Along with keeping up with all of her school work, she spends a lot of time practicing and going to local barrel races. This helps her to prepare for her runs in Las Vegas. Addie is a shining star in our Adams 12 Five Star Schools community.
