Dear Rocky Top Grizzlies,
Rocky Top Middle School has a rich tradition of excellence and a strong sense of community.
These cornerstones represent our commitment to fostering an environment where every student feels valued, supported, and engaged. By prioritizing positive interactions and school-wide values, our Student Culture Team and staff started work in the 2023-2024 school year to enhance the overall well-being and success of our students. This focus will guide our initiatives and practices throughout the year, ensuring that Rocky Top Middle School remains a place where academic and personal growth flourish within a strong, connected community.
Our mission is to build a community that upholds a culture of respect, positive communication, and continuous learning that requires intentional efforts and a collective commitment from all members. We will foster efforts by establishing clear values, creating inclusive spaces, and promoting active listening and empathy with clear and consistent communication guidelines for opportunities for restoration.
We are Grizzly Proud! Take a moment to review our core values of PURPOSE, RESPECT, INTEGRITY, DIVERSITY & EMPATHY in our school-wide expectations for achieving excellence in our Rocky Top classrooms.

We love getting families involved here at The Top. If you’d like to become a member of the Rocky Top PTO, please email the coordinators to find out about volunteer opportunities, special events and regular meetings. One of the PTO’s first challenges is to collect non-perishable snack items to be used throughout the year for teachers during conferences and for students during Wednesday afternoon study hall sessions. Feel free to drop off donations in the box located in the front office when attending any of our beginning of the year events.
