Theater Club

I have decided to revamp how I do the off season of our Musicals. Instead of doing a play, we will be doing a Performance Night in which actors will perform a monologue or short one-act skit. All grades and talents are welcome. We will not hold auditions this year, so anyone can participate. I only ask that if choosing to perform, students attend ALL meetings from final selection day through Performance Night. We will be focusing on character development, enunciation, projection, movement, and memorization. 

Performances: All performances will be student selected, but approved by me. Students will be responsible for their own costuming, sets, and props. The school has limited items that can be borrowed, but will not be able to leave the school. This can be worked out on a person by person basis.

Direction: I will be giving directions, guidance, and support as we prepare for these performances. 

Rehearsals: We will use Theatre Club as rehearsals, but students will need to prepare at home as well. Rehearsals for the performance will be mandatory starting October 20, 2026 for the first semester and starting March 30, 2027 for the second semester. The schedule is attached.

If a student does not want to perform anything, they can still attend the meetings and participate in the club activities.
