The Rocky Top Band has a subscription to an outstanding, interactive web-site that enables them to practice with accompaniment (the method book that we use daily in class is a part of the program), record themselves, and receive feedback about their playing.  The cost for students to subscribe to the program at home is $25.00 for the year.  Simply log on to smartmusic.com and use the code ROCKYTOPBAND (all capital letters, one word), and the site will walk you through the process.  I highly encourage students to subscribe, as it makes practice time fun as well as productive.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or run into trouble registering.
