Instrument Rental
There are many different options for you regarding instrument rental and repair. Generally, students obtain their instruments by renting them from one of the local music stores (the cost varies depending on the instrument chosen). For your convenience, I will be at the following stores on Saturday, September 8th. You are not required to attend at these times, but I am happy to be there to offer advice or answer any questions you may have.
Saturday, September 8th:
9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m -Flesher Hinton Music (On Tennyson St. just north of 38th Ave)
12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. -Music and Arts Center (SE Corner of 88th and Wadsworth)
Online sites such as Craig's List and Ebay can be a bit risky, but many students have found instruments through them or at garage sales or from family friends that work just fine. If you have an instrument that you would like me to look at, please feel free to contact me.
We also have a few of the larger instruments (Tuba, Baritone Saxophone, Bass Clarinet, Baritone, French Horn) here at Rocky Top that students may rent for a flat fee of
We will be spending the first couple of weeks of school talking about the different instruments and helping the students make a choice that they can be successful with. Please make sure that your student has an instrument and a book (Essential Elements 2000, book 1) by September 10th. Should this be a problem, please let me know so that we can find a solution for you.
