IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A GRIZZLY!!!

 

*  Whew!!  What another fantastic win for the 8th grade girls basketball team.  We traveled to Silver Hills Middle School to take on the Storm and the girls "blew" them away.  The girls again played their hearts out and came away with a 27-19 victory.  The girls are currently 7-0.  We will face Hulstrom on Tuesday night at Hulstrom, so please come out and support the girls as they make it an undefeated regular season.  Way to go ladies!!!

* OUR 7TH GRADE LADY GRIZZLIES DO IT AGAIN!!!  ANOTHER WIN!  Congratulations ladies for your impressive victory over Silver Hills with a score of 28-11.  Your lady Grizzlies are now 7-0 with one game left of the regular season.  Their last regular season game will be Tuesday here at Rocky Top against Hulstrom Middle School.  We hope to see everyone here cheering the team on as they work to finish the season UNDEFEATED!!! 

*  CONGRATULATIONS!!  Your Grizzly Wrestlers fought for another Victory over the Silver Hills Storm!!  We are proud of the wrestlers drive and determination! Be sure to congratulate the wrestlers when you see them in the hall!  They've been working hard and it showed on the mat!   Our next match will be Monday, November 9th against Thornton @ HOME!!  Let's all make it out and support of wrestlers as they wrestle hard for another victory!!

*  ROCKY TOP STUDENTS CAST IN THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN!!  The award winning Northglenn Youth Theatre is proud to announce that four Rocky Top Middle School Students have been cast in the UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN.  Mitchell Dailey, Alex Milinazzo, Josh Rowzee and Hannah Royer will each perform as members of the ensemble cast.  The show runs November 13-22, 2009 at the D.L. Parsons Theatre in the Northglenn Recreation Center and includes two performances for school groups on Wednesday, November 18th and Thursday, November 19th at 10:00 am!

*  Grizzlies!!! When you are caught doing a random act of kindness!  You can receive a Grizzly Gratitude Ticket!!  Collect the tickets and you will beable to turn them into the Library for prizes.  Prizes will be available starting October 19th.  This will give Grizzlies a chance to collect the Grizzly Gratitude Tickets.  Students - make sure to put your name and grade on the back of the ticket before turning them in for prizes!!! 

 

*  IT'S TIME TO 'PAWS & REFLECT' - Reflect on all that is happening here at Rocky Top.  Reflect on all the memories being made.  And most importantly....Reflect on the fun, friendships and moments that will define the 2009-2010 school year.  Yearbooks are on sale for only $35.00.  Students can order their book on line at jostensyearbook.com or they can pick up a yearbook form from the front office!  ORDER YOUR YEARBOOKS TODAY!!!

*  What portion of the $15,000 pot will Rocky Top earn??  Help Rocky Top accumulate points toward a share of the money!  Shop at any store at the Orchard (including AMC Theatres & Concessions, but not the perimeter stores like Target) and log you receipt at the Guest Services Kiosk OR put your receipt in the collection box in the front office.  If you need your receipt back, put your first and last name on the back of the receipt. IT'S THAT EASY!!  START SHOPPING!!!!

*  HEY GRIZZLIES!!!  It is our annual FOOD DRIVE!  Thanks to all the students who have already brought in food.  We are way behind from last year!  Let's see if we can STEP IT UP!! All the food will be donated to families in our district. Show your school spirit and win a PARTY for your core by bringing in the most food!!!  We only have two more weeks!!!  Keep on bringing in food!! 

*  Attention all 6th grade boys interested in Intramurals.  The third Intramural Sport of the school year is WRESTLING and it will begin on MONDAY, November 2nd at 3:45pm.  We will meet on 11/3, 11/6, 11/10, 11/13, and 11/16.  from 3:45 until 5:00pm.  Workout clothes need to be worn for the activity.
