**  If you are interested in playing intramural volleyball, sign up will run from Monday, October 10th thru Friday, October 21st.  The sign up sheet is in the gym as you walk in. Try to get a team of 7 together and print everybody's first and last name on the sign up sheet.  Schedules will be handed out Monday, October 24th for those who signed up.  Games will start on Thursday, October 27th. 

**  Hey .... Do you like math?  Do you like to compete on answering questions? If you answer yes to both of these questions, please come to MATHCOUNTS.  Our club starts on Thursday, October 20th.  We meet from 3:50 - 4:45 in Ms. Nylin's room - A-108 (the 7th grade pod).  All you have to do is show up and come find out what all the fun is about!!!!!

**  Have you ever been handcuffed in the back of a police car?  Have you ever wanted to spend the day with Officer Parker?  Here is a chance!!  Starting Monday and going through November 4th, we will be collecting canned foods for the Thornton Police Department so that everyone in our community can have a fabulous Thanksgiving.  Bring in your canned goods and fill out a raffle ticket each day you bring donations.  On November 4th during morning announcements, we will draw the name of the winner. Make sure your name and 1st core teachers name is on your donations.  There will be House Points for the core with the most donations and a donut party for the 1st core class with the most donations!  Let's all get excited about giving back to our community!!!

**  Hey all you artists out there, Everything Clay Club will begin on October 6th after school from 4:00pm - 4:30pm.  Please pick up a permission packet by the art room door.  Signed packets must be turned in to Ms. Stutzman by Monday, October 3rd.  Get yours today!  You don't want to miss this opportunity.

** Gay-Straight Alliance will be starting to meet.  If you are interested in participating in this club, we will meet every Tuesday after school.  See you there!! 
**  Come one, come all!!  Mr. Atwood's Weightlifting Club starts on Tuesday, September 13th.  All you need to do is get dressed out in appropriate workout clothes right after school and wait for Mr. Atwood right outside the fitness room door.  The club meets every Tuesday from 3:45pm - 5:00pm.  All grades are welcome!
**  Attention all writers!  It's time to get your write on.  Writing Club is about to get started for the year!  This Thursday (9/21), writing club will hold its first meeting after school from 3:45pm - 4:30pm in Ms. Spaeth's room - C-117.  All meetings will be Thursday afternoons.  Plus, we have snacks.  everyone loves snacks.  Drop in anytime!!  All are welcome.
**  Running Club is starting on Tuesday (9/20).  we welcome anyone who wants to walk, jog or run a few miles around the neighborhoods after school.  Please make sure to pick up a permission slip from the front office or from Ms. Brubaker

**  If you are interested in being apart of the school's wellness team and having your voice heard, come to Ms. Fords room Tuesday, October 25th after school.  We will talk about what we can do to make Rocky Top the best healthy school in the district.  See you all there!! 

**  Our next hat day for the homeless will be Friday, October 28th.  Last month we raised over $300 and were able to make over 200 lunches.  Let's see if we can double that number Rocky Top!!!  Bring a dollar (or more) to give to your first core class teacher and wear your favorite hat all day.  Help the homeless of Denver and look cool doing it!!
